W. H. GRANT & Co's EXHIBIT,

AT THE

SCOTTISH NATIONAL EXHIBITION, EDINBURGH.

The next stall to be mentioned is not only of great interest to all Stationers and Fancy Dealers, but is, in itself, one of the most fascinating and important in the building. Its number is 52, and its proprietors are Messrs. W. H. Grant & Co., of Livingstone Mills, Coventry. To recommend the serious attention of our readers to this firm's products is, or should be, tantamount to teaching one's grandmother to suck eggs; neverless we shall brave the proverb and do so. Messrs. Grant have a Jacquard loom of the very latest type, with 24 shuttles in motion, busily engaged in producing their silk picture postcards, views, portraits and pictures in full view of the visitors, by the most recent antomatic processes. They also show a silk spooling machine and other accesories of the silk weaving trade. In addition to these exhibits, there are silk book marks, braces and handkerchiefs galore, so that our statement that the stall of Messrs. Grant was one of the most attractive both to the trade and to the people at large, has, we think, been amply justified. One might well quote the words of an American firm of great advertising ingenuity, a propos Messrs. Grant's goods; "They come high but we must stock them."
